This space is dedicated to remembering and celebrating the individuals whose lives were touched by addiction. We recognize their struggles, cherish their memories, and commit to raising awareness and fostering support for those still fighting. Together, we can create a compassionate community that promotes healing and understanding.
Dustin was not only a cherished son, but a brother, uncle, father and friend who struggled with addiction since the age of 15. It was such a blessing when he found Renewed Life Ministries Organization, where he spent the last 18 months of his life.
We watched as his life began to transform into who God had called him to be. As he surrendered and allowed Christ to do a work in him, the guilt and shame from his past was removed. He began rebuilding healthy relationships with his parents, siblings, and his son.
You could tell how much he loved his son James by watching his face light up at the mention of his name. He absolutely loved it when James could come and spend time with him. He enjoyed talking to James and playing video games almost nightly with him. He loved being able to call his siblings several times a day and hang out with them. Dustin went from being the most selfish person to becoming one of the most selfless that you would ever meet.
He remembered his past life and was thankful when he was able to lend a helping hand to the homeless, whether it was buying meals for them, giving him the shirt off his back, or cutting firewood in the winter and taking it to their camps so they would be able to be warm. He had such an infectious laugh and would brighten up the room with his large smile. His son James says “ He was the funniest person I’ve ever met, and he could turn even work into a lot of fun.”
We are grateful for the time we had with him and the change that took place in the last 18 months of his life when he allowed Christ to heal the wounds of his heart. He loved working with the people at RLMO and helping out with the men in the program. He left this world way too soon. We love him dearly and he’s greatly missed. – Mom
Such a good soul , and a sweetheart.
He always had a piece of my heart after a Winterfest outing. He had a sweet smile and would always give me a hug. Thankful that during the last few months of his life, he allowed Jesus to be real to him and those around him. Rest in His arms Dustin.
